The Wedding Barn
Are you open yet?
Yes! We held our first wedding in June 2019. While we still have some work to be done, the barns are now open.
When can we come to see the venue?
How do we find you?
Can we get married at the Wedding Barn?
We will be applying for our wedding licence as soon as construction is complete, so while we can hold a wedding celebration from mid-June 2019 onwards we are unable to hold a civil marriage ceremony until September 2019, however, this date is not guaranteed.
We are still available to host a wedding reception and evening entertainment before that date and we will be able to host an informal ceremony held by a friend or professional wedding celebrant. Also we are still available if you wish to get married elsewhere, for example at a local church or registry office, or if you would like to hold the legal ceremony before the day and then have a second non legal ceremony with us.

What dates are the barns available for our wedding day?
Do you charge corkage?
Yes, we charge £4.50 per day guest aged 18 or over should you want to bring your own wine and toast drink for the wedding breakfast. This charge is to cover the cost of chilling and serving the wine, use of the glassware and recycling the bottles.
Do we get exclusive use of the venue?
Is there parking? Can we leave cars overnight?
What are the accommodation options?
We have a bridal preparation room on site for use in the morning and for the bride during the day. For overnight accommodation there are several excellent hotels very close by. For more information see our local accommodation page.
Are pets welcome on site?

Do your prices include VAT?
Does the venue hire include tables and chairs?

When can we access the Bridal Suite?
How many can you seat for the ceremony?
Can we decorate or use a Venue Dresser to decorate the Barns? When can we start setting up for the day?
Can we get married outside?
If you’ve always dreamed of an outdoor wedding in the countryside, we can help. Our beautiful wedding pavilion, set in our garden overlooking the lake, is ideal for an outdoor ceremony. And don’t worry – we always have plans in place to move indoors if the British weather lets us down.
