The rate on progress on site these last few weeks has been a joy to watch. After two and a half years of planning and hard work to see the barns begin to take shape is beyond rewarding. The progress has been helped by having multiple teams working on site pulling all the threads together.

The transformation in the old barns continue with the new stone flagged floor being laid and we are delighted with the results!

Red brick columns that will frame the room are nearly complete as well.

New trusses, purlins and rafters are nearly complete in the evening room and work on the ceiling has begun.

The new entrance is nearly complete. Just signage needs to be added then the new drive can be laid.

With the cladding complete the final stage of the rendering the large barn begins bringing life and purpose back to these buildings.

A bit of a transformation!

In the kitchen, the room is clad with a hygienic, flame retardant 100% recycled laminate then the new floor is added.

The plasterers have been busy in the bathrooms along with the plumbers as the new sinks and toilets are starting to be installed.

In the garden the new fence is complete and the footings for the paths laid.

Work on the brick path edgings has also started.

The painters are busy in the bridal prep and around the house.

The new bifold doors are delivered and inspected ready to be installed.

In the bar the cool room is installed and commissioned. We can now keep the beer at the perfect temperature!

We have also had some little helpers on site – couldn’t do it without them!

Finally, it is great to see local wildlife returning to the farm with goslings and young coots making an appearance in our lake. The island is the perfect place for them to nest out of the way of Mr Fox.

With so much going on watch out for a new update soon!
